Students are admitted to the undergraduate program according to the ‘Social Sciences’ score obtained in the nationwide Student Placement Examination organized by the Higher Education Council. The Department admits over 60 students annually and around 55 students receive their first degrees.(B.Sc.) Currently, the Department has 40 full-time academic personnel, including 15 full, associate or assistant Professors, 2 lecturers and 23 research assistants. There are also 6 part-time faculty members. The department hosts around 3 visiting professors every year from various universities in the regions of primary academic interest for the department (especially from the Middle East and Europe).
