SCOPE: This course concentrates on the subject of foreign policy analysis and ıntends to provide an introduction to the making and the implementation of foreign policy in theory and practice. The course objective is to give students an understanding of how foreign polciy is made and implemented by state actors. In this context, the nature, scope, and definition of foreign policy; the impact of main theories and methods of international relations on foreign policy studies; internal and external sources of foreign policy behaviour; decision making bodies and process and also various approaches and methods to the study of foreign policy will be covered in the lectures. The course also covers the relations between the foreign policy and non-state actors such as NGOs, and public opinion. Syllabus Available |
